This Scandinavian modernist ring has a highly sculptural surface with the contrast between the "dug out" and surface areas heightened by the matte and shiny finishes. I find his work of this type to be reminiscent of Lapponia and have a similar ring but with a round top (item #282, dated 1976). This ring is marked with Hyvarinen's MJH makers mark, 925, the city mark for Turku and U7 for 1973. The pendant has the Kultasepat mark of a polar bear on an ice floe and is also marked 925. Oddly for a Finnish piece of jewelry there is no date or city mar ...click for details

This pendant is an excellent example of that with its use of repousse to create volume. The pendant is s ...click for details
