| This studio pottery vase by Gerhard Liebenthron is unusually large for his later work though the abstract, primitive decoration is typical of his style. Standing just under 9 1/2" tall, the vase is in excellent condition. As with his other work, the base is signed with his initials and the year it was made. If you search on Liebenthron from my homepage you will see other examples of his work. Liebenthron's work can be found in several museums in Germany including the Keramik Museum in Berlin, the Fockemuseum in Bremen and the Hetiens Museum in Dusseldorf. | |||||||
