| This Scandinavian silver and rock crystal modernist necklace is by Elis Kauppi for Kupittaan Kulta of Finland. Kauppi founded the company in 1945. In the 50s he began designing pieces which incorporated local stones and utilized simple forms. The alternating three ring bail, is also emblematic of his work. The marks including the company mark, Finland and 925S (likely this was made for export to Denmark or Norway). The pendant is elegant in it's simplicity and measures 5/16ths x 7/8ths and is 1/4" high. The three ring bail is 3/4" long. The rock crystal is approximately 11mm x 17mm. A new sterling silver snake chain is included. | |||||||||
