| These vases are by master ceramicist Mathies Schwarze. Schwarze trained in Germany with many of the most preeminent mid-century ceramic artists. Now based in Switzerland, he has been working since the 1960s and has his own school as well. The blue crystalline vase is 13 1/8 inches tall and while predominately blue has the brown/ocher contrasts found on much of his work. The brown crystalline vase is 13 7/8 inches tall. There is a small glaze slip (about a half inch) on one side which is pictured. | ||||||||||||
