| Two pairs of sterling silver earrings by Kelim jewelry. Their pieces are frequently architectural, and always modernist in the simplicity and elegance of their designs. Many of their designs are substantive but are executed in a surprisingly light and comfortable fashion. One pair are made up of several silver "pebbles" that freely move, though attached to a long curved silver wire. They are 2 inches long and also have a nut that slides on the rear wire to further secure the earring. The other earrings feature a domed cut out to suspend three snake chains terminating in tear drops of silver. They are 2 1/4 inches long. Kelim Jewelry was founded in 1992 by Meral and Halil Sartekin. The couple began designing jewelry inspired by the patterns in the traditional Turkish carpets and the natural beauty of their adopted county, Switzerland. Kelim Jewelry is 925 Silver with a fine silver finish. A jewelry tarnish protectant is applied at the end of the production process so Kelim Jewelry will take longer to tarnish than most other silver jewelry. | ||||||
