| This sterling silver bracelet is composed of several linked pods resulting in a fluid yet substantial piece of jewelry. Typical of Kelim, simple shapes are crafted to create well designed and beautiful pieces. The bracelet is about 6 3/4 inches long and about a 1/2 inch wide. The earrings are comprised of several pods of sterling silver appended from a large curved silver wire. They hang at just over 2 inches and have nuts to hold the lengthy wire in place. They weigh 18.6 grams. Kelim pieces are frequently architectural, and always modernist in the simplicity and elegance of their designs. Many of their designs are substantive but are executed in a surprisingly light and comfortable fashion. Kelim Jewelry was founded in 1992 by Meral and Halil Sartekin. The couple began designing jewelry inspired by the patterns in the traditional Turkish carpets and the natural beauty of their adopted county, Switzerland. Kelim Jewelry is 925 Silver with a fine silver finish. A jewelry tarnish protectant is applied at the end of the production process so Kelim Jewelry will take longer to tarnish than most other silver jewelry. | ||||||||||
