| Two different styles of Kelim sterling silver earrings are posted here. The first, are what I think of as the "flying saucer" earrings. These 2 1/2 inch long earrings feature a snake chain with three convex disks of increasing size suspended at the bottom. There are two pairs available. The second pair also feature a snake chain suspended from a navette shaped silver tile and terminating in a four sided, vaguely oval shape comprised of concave silver tiles. These are 2 1/2 inches long and there are two pairs available. I have a Kelim necklace with a similar or complementary design which is pictured at the end of this listing with its item number. Kelim pieces are frequently architectural, and always modernist in the simplicity and elegance of their designs. Many of their designs are substantive but are executed in a surprisingly light and comfortable fashion. Kelim Jewelry was founded in 1992 by Meral and Halil Sartekin. The couple began designing jewelry inspired by the patterns in the traditional Turkish carpets and the natural beauty of their adopted county, Switzerland. Kelim Jewelry is 925 Silver with a fine silver finish. A jewelry tarnish protectant is applied at the end of the production process so Kelim Jewelry will take longer to tarnish than most other silver jewelry. | |||||||||
