| Two different styles of Kelim sterling silver earrings are posted here. The first, have a great geometric structure - 2 pairs of curved bars, though freely moving, form a pleasing navette criss-crossed shape when hanging- 3 inches long. There are two pairs available. The second pair are a variation on some of the other earrings listed here; a slightly domed surmount suspends two opposing curved wires of varying length which terminate in "pill" shaped elements. Also 3 inches long. Kelim pieces are frequently architectural, and always modernist in the simplicity and elegance of their designs. Many of their designs are substantive but are executed in a surprisingly light and comfortable fashion. Kelim Jewelry was founded in 1992 by Meral and Halil Sartekin. The couple began designing jewelry inspired by the patterns in the traditional Turkish carpets and the natural beauty of their adopted county, Switzerland. Kelim Jewelry is 925 Silver with a fine silver finish. A jewelry tarnish protectant is applied at the end of the production process so Kelim Jewelry will take longer to tarnish than most other silver jewelry. | ||||||||
