| Two different styles of Kelim sterling silver earrings are posted here. The first, have a great geometric structure - a great intersection of round and flat, circular and angular. A large two sided domed circle with an attached tall triangular element leading into a long earwire. An optional domed post is also part of the earring. These are 2 1/2 inches x 1 1/8 inches. Unlike the other Kelim earrings, these do have some weight along with their substantial look. The second pair are a variation on some of the other earrings listed here; a curvy abstract surmount suspends two opposing curved wires of varying length which terminate in the same shapes as the surmount. 3 inches long. Kelim pieces are frequently architectural, and always modernist in the simplicity and elegance of their designs. Many of their designs are substantive but are executed in a surprisingly light and comfortable fashion. Kelim Jewelry was founded in 1992 by Meral and Halil Sartekin. The couple began designing jewelry inspired by the patterns in the traditional Turkish carpets and the natural beauty of their adopted county, Switzerland. Kelim Jewelry is 925 Silver with a fine silver finish. A jewelry tarnish protectant is applied at the end of the production process so Kelim Jewelry will take longer to tarnish than most other silver jewelry. | ||||||||||||
