| Two different Kelim sterling silver necklaces are pictured here. The first, is a series of four sided pyramidal shaped links joined to form a necklace that is 18 inches long. The other necklace is composed of open oval horizontal links containing an oval vertical oval element. Each link is 1 1/2 inches long and the necklace is 17 inches long in its entirety. Kelim pieces are frequently architectural, and always modernist in the simplicity and elegance of their designs. Many of their designs are substantive but are executed in a surprisingly light and comfortable fashion. Kelim Jewelry was founded in 1992 by Meral and Halil Sartekin. The couple began designing jewelry inspired by the patterns in the traditional Turkish carpets and the natural beauty of their adopted county, Switzerland. Kelim Jewelry is 925 Silver with a fine silver finish. A jewelry tarnish protectant is applied at the end of the production process so Kelim Jewelry will take longer to tarnish than most other silver jewelry. | |||||||||
