This bold, modernist silver pendant is by Uwe Helmuth Moltke of Denmark. His work is typically comprised of geometric shapes, in bold, strong designs sometimes adorned with stones such as tiger eye or lapis.
The two opposing parts of this pendant overlap slightly creating an abstract but somewhat symmetrical space on either side of the bar that joins them. Each part of the pendant has a different surface finish as well. The pendant is 1 7/8" x 2" and the entire piece inclusive of the bar is 3 3/4" long. It is marked on the rear as pictured. Moltke started his workshop in 1966 in the village of Humlebæk just north of Copenhagen on the east coast of Denmark. |
