| This necklace is a small wearable sculpture by Arne Johansen who started his workshop in Denmark in 1954 and ceased production in 1993. "His work is characterised by the pure simplicity of line, elegant design, the substantial weight of the silver, and the expertise of the craftsmanship." (quote source:scandinavian.silver.co.uk) int This fluid and elegant piece measures 2 3/4" long (inclusive of the bail) and 1 7/8" wide. The five bars have a textured surface and swing freely. The chain is of course not original but included; it is also sterling and is 18 inches long. | |||||||||
